Late Vijesh Lunawat ji is not among us today but his memories are still present among us. His personality was such that he is being remembered even today. I had heard how great his personality was. Today, I have seen it too: BJP national joint general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash

Bhopal: Paying tributes to former vice-president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh unit, late Vijesh Lunawat on his fourth death anniversary BJP national joint general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash said here on Monday Vijesh Lunawat had a magnetic personality and he was an excellent party worker who contributed to the party’s growth significantly.

“When I got the responsibility of the party in Madhya Pradesh Vijesh ji had departed for his heavenly abode. I heard a lot about him, about his personality as to how whoever met him was impressed by him, his organisation skills he showed as a member of Jaoli right from the year 2003. He added there were very few people in politics, whom the society always remembered.

Speaking on national scenario in the country Shiv Prakash said, “Many parties are working like Putana demoness to divide India.”

He said the communists ruled West Bengal for 34 years saying that they would uplift the poor. Bengal did not get free from poverty even during the 34 years of their rule. Now there is rule of TMC but even today, West Bengal is the first state in the country where people come barefoot to the rallies of political parties.

He said the forces dividing the country were working in the form of different political parties and institutions.

Talking of resolve of the NDA government at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi he said Maoism would be completely eradicated from within the country by March 31, 2026. Most of the Maoists were surrounded on the border of Chhattisgarh and the neighbouring state. They were sending letters for talks but the NDA government had made it clear that there would be no talks if they continued to carry arms.

Regarding Pahalgam terror attack he said, “After a few days you yourself will say that what the country wants has happened.”

He said the Congress party was still following the policy of divide and rule like the British.

    Deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said, “Vijesh ji used to meet even strangers with such intimacy that everyone became his admirer. He never allowed friendship to turn into selfishness. This is the reason why he has a very long list of true friends.”

He said Vijesh Lunawat had left an indelible mark on everyone. There was a magnetic attraction in his personality. He was the solution to every problem. His work in various fields of society would always be remembered.

Underlining personality of late Vijesh Lunawat the deputy CM said, “He had no ambitions. He kept working continuously to take the party forward. His life was committed to ideology. Even after being in politics, he had no opponents. Vijesh ji’s departure was very sad for all of us.”

    Senior BJP leader Shailendra Sharma

Senior BJP leader Shailendra Sharma said, “Vijesh ji was like a mirror to me and many others. He was a frank and clean-hearted person, whoever met him was impressed. He and I were together in politics for a long time. It has been my good fortune to be in touch with him.”

He said Vijesh Lunawat left us early but his thoughts would always be present amongst us.

Senior journalist and convener of the programme Mrigendra Singh presented the outline of the work done by the Foundation.

Having done a presentation in the programme on VLF on its social service in the past four years, Vijesh Lunawat’s daughter Muskan Lunawat said, “My father was an example of service, cooperation and dedication. All of us together are making efforts to fulfil the resolve of this spirit of service of my father.”
