Mr. Sanjay Pathak has made an attempt to call me to have discussion regarding this particular matter, therefore, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition

Bhopal: Will State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal summon and seek explanation from BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak for his alleged unethical act of making an attempt to reach out to high court Justice Vishal Mishra in a bid to influence him in connection with a petition filed against him on alleged illegal mining?
Khandelwal didn’t hesitate in summoning BJP MLA from Bhind Narendra Singh Kushwaha for his alleged act of abusing and intimidating Bhind collector Sanjeev Shrivastava recently.
Khandelwal was understood to have given Kushwaha piece of his mind having summoned him to the state BJP office in presence of state BJP affairs in charge Mahendra Singh and general secretary (organisation) Hitanand Sharma, for his objectionable and condemnable act.

Khandelwal reportedly warned Kushwaha not to indulge in recurrence of such an indecent behaviour which sullied the image of the party as a video clip of the MLA’s confrontation with the collector, abuse and threat went viral on social media.
Sanjay Pathak who has been in eye of controversy over alleged purchase of Sahara Group’s land made an attempt to reach out to Justice Vishal Mishra on Monday, which drove the latter to recuse himself from a petition filed by a Katni resident Ashutosh Dixit Manu.
The petitioner has alleged that action was not being taken against Pathak’s companies despite his complaint to the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) six months back that companies associated with Pathak’s family indulged in illegal mining.
However, he claimed, a few days after he filed the petition, the department of Mineral Resources imposed a fine of Rs 443 crores on the said companies.
In his order passed on Monday Justice Mishra noted down the ground for withdrawing himself from the petition stating, “Mr. Sanjay Pathak has made an attempt to call me to have discussion regarding this particular matter, therefore, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition.”
Justice Mishra made it very clear in his order that Sanjay Pathak made an attempt to call him to have discussion ‘regarding this particular matter’.
Justice Mishra’s order reads, “Application (IA No.16218/2025) for intervention is perused by the Court. Power of attorney executed by the interveners shows the same to be executed by Mrs. Nirmala Pathak W/o. Late Shri Satyendra Pathak and Mr. Yash Pathak S/o. Shri Sanjay Satyendra Pathak, R/o. Katni, Madhya Pradesh.”
“Mr. Sanjay Pathak has made an attempt to call me to have discussion regarding this particular matter, therefore, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition”, reads the order.
The order says, “Let the matter be placed before the Hon’ble Chief Justice for listing the matter before the appropriate Bench for consideration.”
