Bhopal: An additional superintendent of police and a sub-inspector (SI) of police were shifted from their place of posting due to their alleged act of indiscipline during the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)’s three-day training camp beginning June 14 at Pachmarhi on the subject of discipline, ideology and communication.
Those shifted include Ashutosh Mishra, additional superintendent of police, Narmadapuram and Kamal Kishore Maurya, sub-inspector posted in Sagar district. Both were on duty at gate no. 1 of Hotel Glen View, the venue of the training camp.
As per an order from the director general of police Kailash Makwana issued on Monday (June 16, 2025), these cops were shifted from their present place of posting and attached with the office of inspector general of police, Narmadapuram Zone for their indiscipline and misconduct.
In a further message on need of discipline in police force the DGP wrote on X, “In uniform force officers are expected to behave & Conduct properly.”

As per media reports from Pachmarhi, the additional superintendent of police reprimanded the SI for allegedly not wearing his cap which escalated in a heated argument between the two catching attention of people present over there.
A video clip on the heated argument went viral on social media leaving the higher-ups in the police department embarrassed and red faced. The video of this incident went viral on social media.
BJP leaders from Madhya Pradesh including MPs, MLAs and other senior leaders are attending the camp being trained on discipline, party’s ideology and communication skills.
On Saturday, union minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah asked the party leaders attending the camp to be cautious about their statements and avoid making any controversial statement. “There may be a mistake but you have to take care that the mistake is not repeated”, he warned.

Notably, on June 1, SPs of Katni and Datia districts and IG and DIG of Chambal region were transferred after their alleged act of indiscipline.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav posted on X, “The Superintendent of Police of Katni and the Superintendent of Police of Datia and the IG, DIG Chambal Range behaved in a manner which is regrettable in public service. Hence, instructions have been given to remove them with immediate effect.”

Then, state BJP president VD Sharma posted on X, “The violation of the ideal conduct in public service by Katni Superintendent of Police is highly condemnable. I had spoken to CM @DrMohanYadav51 ji regarding action on his misbehavior. I thank the Chief Minister for taking cognizance of the matter and removing the Superintendent of Police with immediate effect.”
