Chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav being greeted by people in Ujjain, his hometown, on Wednesday evening.
PM’s praise for the CM that ‘he is at the forefront of many initiatives aimed at furthering all-round development of Madhya Pradesh’ comes at a time when there seems to be a state of conflict between Dr Mohan Yadav and several of his ministerial colleagues and also between him and certain other politicians.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav on the latter’s birthday on Wednesday but more than the greeting what drew everyone’s attention was his praise for Yadav on the occasion on the latter’s ‘initiatives on development front’.

This sparked off a discussion within the BJP circles if this message from the PM was a routine one or well thought out one to quell any possible rebellion against the CM in the time to come.

    जन्मदिन के अवसर पर आज निवास पधारीं बहनों का स्नेह, आशीर्वाद और शुभकामनाएँ प्राप्त कर मन अभिभूत है।

Recently, Kailash Vijayvargiya and Prahlad Singh Patel, both cabinet ministers, skipped a couple of cabinet meetings and both had a meeting with union home minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

There seems to be a strained relationship between the CM and deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla and also union Farmers Welfare minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who seems to be forced to confine himself to his Lok Sabha constituency Vidisha while struggling to get issues relating to his constituency resolved.

Prahlad Singh Patel, however, had a specific medical reason not to attend the two cabinet meetings. He had a fracture in one of his toes the condition of which deteriorated as he walked along Narmada bank and also attended state assembly’s budget session without any bandage. He got the bandage when the situation worsened.

CM Dr Mohan Yadav in Sagar having lunch with BJP MLA Gopal Bhargava at a farmer Haridas Raikwar’s residence on his birthday on Wednesday.

However, PM’s praise for the CM on the occasion with specific mention for his initiatives certainly gave a boost to the morale of the CM who responded to the PM’s greeting with his message talking of MP’s ‘inclusive growth and effective governance’ under the PM’s leadership.

Union home minister Amit Shah too greeted the CM on this occasion while praising his work and leadership.

“Heartiest birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri @DrMohanYadav51. Under the guidance of Modi Ji and your leadership, the state is scaling new heights of development and public welfare. May Lord Mahakal bless you with excellent health and a long life”, said the union home minister on X.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh greeted the CM saying, “Heartfelt birthday wishes and greetings to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav. He is fully committed to the development of Madhya Pradesh and is working wholeheartedly towards this objective. I wish him excellent health and a long life.”

Other leaders who greeting CM on his birthday include Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, union minister for farmers welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan, governor Madhya Pradesh Mangubhai Patel, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, state legislative assembly speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal, CM’s ministerial colleagues including deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla, minister for panchayatraj and rural development Prahlad Singh Patel, PWD minister Rakesh Singh, former chief minister Uma Bharti and several other national and state BJP leaders.

There were streams of BJP MLAs including many of the CM’s ministerial colleagues, other political workers, bureaucrats, industrialists, traders, representatives of various organisations, journalists and others to the CM House to greet the CM.

If streams of visitors to the CM House on Wednesday appeared to certain BJP leaders as a show of strength CM chose not to miss visiting his hometown Ujjain on the day preceded by his visit to a farmer’s residence in Sagar district to have lunch with the farmer’s family, along with senior BJP leader and MLA Gopal Bhargava.
