Bhopal: Though police are yet to come out any statement on the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, a section of digital media has resorted to insensitive reporting on this serious incident making unfounded claims on the cause of the crime.
Meanwhile, the police are said to have detained a suspect having screened a good number of CCTV footages in the apartment of Saif Ali Khan- Kareena Kapoor Khan and also the streets around in upscale Bandra in Mumbai.

There are all kinds of theories doing the rounds in the social media. Some suggest the crime was committed to create a communal atmosphere ahead of Delhi polls. Some others found a link between what poet Kumar Vishwas had spoken about the Bollywood couple and the crime committed.
An X (formerly Twitter) user who claims to be a ‘prospective candidate’ crossed the line of decency while claiming that an illicit relationship was the cause behind the crime. He, however, later deleted his post after a backlash.
KAREENA KAPOOR REQUESTS MEDIA TO RESPECT BOUNDARIES
It was this wild and sensational reporting that Kareena Kapoor had to request the media and paparazzi to refrain from “relentless speculation and coverage”.
Expressing her shock over the incident Kareena Kapoor said, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.”
According to police, robbery could have been a motive behind the crime but police are not able to tell anything in this regard until they are sure that the man arrested is the real culprit and the initial interrogation is over.
ATTACK
As far as the attack is concerned Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the wee hours of Thursday by an intruder with a knife at his residence at Bandra, Mumbai. Saif and his wife Kareena Kapoor live in four floors in an apartment.
According to police, the incident was reported to have taken place at about 2.30 am. The intruder, as per the FIR lodged by the maid in the flat, allegedly demanded Rs one crore and he attacked Saif Ali Khan when the latter came out of his bedroom rushing on hearing screams of the maid and a nurse who takes care of the couple’s children.
As per a video clip doing the rounds in the social media the intruder is seen sneaking into the flat while climbing staircase and also later coming down from the same staircase. When he was entering the flat his face is seen covered with a scarf but his face is not covered when he is seen fleeing the spot.

Saif Ali Khan was operated upon by a team of doctors including a plastic surgeon in Lilavati Hospital. He was shifted to an intensive care unit after the operation but his condition was stated to be stable and out of danger.
LAWRENCE BISHNOI
Intrusion in Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor residence and the attack on Saif Ali Khan has shaken the Bollywood in the backdrop of Lawrence Bishnoi’s threat to Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
However, what has surprised the police officers, as per police sources, that there was no personal bodyguard with Saif Ali Khan unlike Salman Khan and that the security arrangements in his flats was insufficient to check intrusion and such a crime.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela apologised to Saif Ali Khan for her ignorance about gravity of the incident regarding the attack on him and flaunting her costly bracelet while giving her reaction to the media on the attack.
She was giving her reaction to the media on the attack when she felt so excited about her movie Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts she received for her success that she flaunted the bracelet before the media persons which elicited backlash in the social media for being insensitive to the incident of attack.
